Our Core Group has met and worked together to bring energy and life to Living Spirituality Connections since 2012. We now see that a key need we are responding to is to connect people with another and with diverse resources, and want to communicate that aim in our name. We have adopted a new logo to reflect the connections theme.
Our work now
Events: We run events in partnership with St James’s Piccadilly, now mainly on Zoom. We hold monthly Deep Abiding Prayer Zoom evening practice sessions. For details go to: https://www.livingspirit.org.uk/events/
We have also run events in collaboration with other centres such as St Bede’s Pastoral Centre, York and the Institute for Theological Partnerships at the University of Winchester, and Spirit of Peace. We have run Zoom courses, such as the Artist’s Rule, and Earth our Original Monastery. We have many linked organisations – see www.livingspirit.org.uk/resources-and-links/links-to-other-organisations.
E-Newsletters: We send e-newsletters covering our key themes twice a year. We also send online lists of relevant events run by different centres and organisations across the country four times a year.
Our three key themes:
- the creative spirit
- the flourishing of the earth and all life
- spiritual journeying: active and contemplative spiritual practices and new ways to meet together to share our spiritual journeys
Special Interest Areas: people can register interest in Special Interest Areas, and may receive occasional emails about events or developments related to these. Currently these are: Arts and Spirituality; Music and Spirituality; Spiritual Journeying; and Towards Human Flourishing.
Regional Contacts: We will continue to provide a list of Regional Contacts to enable people to connect with others in their area if they wish to. We welcome new contacts for South & West Wales and North West Wales with this newsletter.
We are not set up as a separate organisation. We are thankful that St James’s Church, Piccadilly who enables us to publicise Living Spirituality Connections on a noticeboard which is seen by a large number of visitors every week.
