Setting up a new spiritual journeying group
Living Spirituality Connections has prepared some guidance notes for people who may want to set up a spiritual sharing group in their area, showing the aspects that it is useful to think through ahead of time. Go to www.livingspirit.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/group_guidelines.pdf
Living Spirituality Connections has now piloted a form of spiritual conversation called Living Conversation – enabling deep and nourishing conversation to happen.
Here is a description of this kind of group, and guidelines for people who would like to set a Living Conversation Group up in their area:
Journeying Together group
Living Spirituality Connections also holds a monthly Journeying Together Group in London. This includes informal lay-led liturgies, including time for silence and meditation; discussion of ideas and books that some members have read; and the sharing of our spiritual journeys. We also make group visits to talks and cultural events, and may organise occasional workshops.
We aim for inclusivity in our language and our thinking, particularly focusing on bringing forth the suppressed feminine strand within the Judeo-Christian tradition, seeking for balance between male and female language for the divine; making explicit the deep connection between human beings and the web of life; giving expression to our individual and group creativity in making our liturgies and in other ways; listening to our struggles and our joys, and for the voice of the Holy Spirit.
We are also interested in the interface between faiths and the commonalities found at a deep level in mystical traditions.
This group is currently closed to new members, since we have reached our full capacity. If you would like help in setting up a Journeying Together Group please read the article about the ways in which the Journeying Together Group works, and the resources we draw on for our monthly meetings, is available here: www.livingspirit.org.uk/spiritual-sharing-group.pdf.
