To sit in silence could be enough.
Prolonged stillness would show due reverence
to a simply symbolic sacrament.
But here, as the tabernacle door is opened,
and holiness exposed,
Love beckons, and in this true presence
we fall to our knees.
Such beauty demands humility,
invokes submission to this mystery.
Tears fall freely in adoration;
hearts fall unfathomably in love
with the One who offers the reality
of an eternal embrace.
